originDNA · ledger + attestation
The decision, on the record — and readable.
originDNA is the evidence layer of ozDNA. The Ledger writes every decision, vote, rationale and outcome to an append-only, hash-chained record (Article 12). The Attestation renders that record into something an auditor or regulator can actually read (Article 13).
Ledger · Art. 12 — record-keeping
Append-only, hash-chained
Article 12 asks for automatic event logs that are traceable and cannot be quietly altered after the fact. The Ledger chains each entry to the previous one by hash, so any later edit breaks the chain and is detectable.
APPEND-ONLY
Nothing is overwritten
Entries are only added. A correction is a new entry, not an edit — the original stays on the record.
HASH-CHAINED
Tamper-evident
Each entry carries the previous entry's hash. Change one and every entry after it no longer verifies.
COMPLETE
Decision + votes + rationale
The record isn't just the outcome — it's how the outcome was reached, including the Council's votes and any veto.
Attestation · Art. 13 — transparency
One decision, as it leaves the Ledger
A redacted, illustrative attestation for a single high-risk decision the Council reviewed. The veto path — a decision held rather than cleared — is the point: the record shows oversight actually bit.
